“I wouldn’t want to be kicked by her m*****f*****g toes! Did you see that girls feet?!” exclaims a rather drunk passerby during our afternoon shoot. Who knew traveling to Miami during Spring Break and shooting in South Beach would involve so many drunk tourists? 

I’m not sure if he meant it as a compliment, or some sort of weird obsession he might have had with being kicked by toes, but it sure provided hilarious color commentary. Although pointe shoes have a sort of "box" that covers the ballerina's toes, it truly is her years of training to build up strength and proper technique that allow her to gracefully leap, balance, twirl, and slide - all on her toes.
