Edith Luna // Mexico City, Mexico

There is something exciting about the idea - possibility - of missing your flight. I periodically play a game “”Will David Make or Miss His Flight Today?” To date, I have only lost one time, so I feel rather lucky. Adding a ballerina shoot - that normally takes 90 minutes - only seemed right on this particular layover flight to South America. I thought that a 4 hour layover would be just the right amount of time to land, run through customs, hail a cab to the Zocalo - about 25 minutes from the airport - do a 37 minute shoot, and head back to catch my 10:05am flight to Lima. Though stress-inducing (because who actually wants to miss a flight?), the shoot went off without a hitch, and I made it back to my gate with plenty of time to spare - and even got to eat breakfast with Edith and he father while I waited for my taxi to arrive.
