Emilia Aguirre // Buenos Aires, Argentina

Sometimes being kicked out a cemetery can be a good thing… and force you to find a better backdrop. I don’t know why I thought it would be a great idea to shoot in Recoleta Cemetery, a famous cemetery in Buenos Aires. I mean, the architecture and design is great, but it’s full of dead people. Thankfully, the National Library was just a few streets over, and Emilia proved up to the challenge of shooting in sub 40°F (4.4°C) weather. Her pointed lines proved quite complimentary to the pillars on the front facade of the library. I couldn’t stop thinking during the shoot how she could almost pass as an Argentinian “Sabrina”… Regardless, it’s always a good thing when you get kicked out of a cemetery.
