Alexandra Farber // Ft. Worth, TX

Alexandra was only the second ballerina I photographed in this project, before it became a project. She was a great prelude to why I found out I enjoyed photographing ballerinas so much: her demand for a perfect pose really stuck out to me. This was the last frame on the roll, Super Bowl Sunday 2018. I remember I had to walk in and ask the couple if they’d look at the ballerina for the frame. The lady thought I was only taking a digital image, and didn’t see me compose with my Hasselblad, because after I took the digital proof, her attention went back to The Big Game, thus the split attentions.
