Leah McCall // Venice Beach, CA

Whilst waiting for Leah to arrive, I was preparing for another shoot (the actual reason I flew into LA was to photograph my friend Evan Craft for some promo work), and not paying much attention to my surroundings. When Leah walked up to me, I asked with a kind curiosity - but maybe rudely “who are you? You’re tall. Very tall. You can’t be Leah, you’re so much taller than the Instagram pictures I saw of you. And you’re so much more beautiful, too! Are you fish-tailing me?”

“With a perplexed look Leah asks “Do you mean ‘am I cat-fishing  you?’ And no, I am not fish-tailing or cat-fishing you.”

Needless to say, I was pleased with the version - the very tall and beautiful version of Leah I photographed. Upon closer examination later on of her social media, I was able to verify that I was definitely not being fish-tailed.
