Sierra Ortega // San Antonio, TX

Little did I know that the aforementioned shoot with the six ballerinas, which was partially photographed in front of the St. Anthony Hotel, would spark a relationship with the hotel’s marketing team. Upon seeing one of the images that a ballerina posted with the location tag of the hotel, they emailed me and asked if I might be interested meeting for lunch, to talk about my project and show them some of my images. This opened up may doors and opportunities to photograph inside the beautiful and luxurious hotel. They literally gave me unfettered access to their entire hotel, allowing me to shoot in any room or suite that I desired to. When I asked Sierra if she would like to do a solo shoot, I had no idea that her family often stays there when they visit Sierra for her shows. She exudes a level of down-to-earth humility -  yet carries herself in such a dignified manner. She was the perfect choice; in hindsight, the obvious choice, for my series of photos at the St. Anthony Hotel.
