I had reached out to Madison in December of 2017, months before this project was even an idea. I had reached out to a ballerina in Buenos Aires, to see if she may be interested in doing a hobby shoot, but nothing long-term was on my mind.

Jackie sure did look like an elegant superstar having her photo made; to her credit, twice I was asked what for magazine I was taking her photos for. “Is it Vogue, or Vanity Fair?”

Whenever I visit NYC, I make it a point to consume pizza on at least 50% of my meals. My personal favorite pizza place is Best Pizza in Brooklyn. Simply put, I think it’s the best pizza.

After the shoot, I confessed how I thought that she was going to be a diva, and how she was the exact opposite. Turns out third time really is the charm - and Brooke just happened to be shoot #100 in the project. 

I found myself in Salt Lake City 48 days after my first visit, this time in 29°F (-1.6°C) weather instead of 68°F (20°C), but now with a working (repaired) Hassy. 

My initial plan was to shoot with Brittany at the handball courts in Venice Beach, but upon arrival, I was dismayed to see that the courts were overrun with homeless tents. I literally saw a couple of full-size propane grills in front of a few of the bigger tents… but I digress.

Classically trained as a ballerina, Andi now travels with a circus, doing aerial gymnastics with a hoop…
